PRESS RELEASE: State Senator John Moorlach Endorses Mayor Tim Shaw for OC Supervisor

(Orange County, California) Former Orange County Supervisor and current California State Senator John Moorlach has endorsed La Habra Mayor Tim Shaw for Orange County Supervisor. Senator Moorlach, who is known to be an ardent protector of taxpayers rights, adds to the growing list of key elected officials and community leaders who have come out to endorse Mayor Shaw’s campaign. “We need a Supervisor that will protect taxpayer dollars, and who we can trust to make the hard decisions, and Tim Shaw is that candidate. Tim has the experience and ability to be a great Supervisor, he has been working on key issues that affect North Orange County as Mayor of La Habra and as Vice Chair of the OCTA Board of Directors, and as well as a Director on the Orange County Sanitation District Board,” stated Senator Moorlach.
Senator Moorlach’s endorsement gives the Shaw for Supervisor campaign even more momentum coming so quickly after the endorsements by State Senator Janet Nguyen and State Assembly Member Phillip Chen. “I am very grateful to have the endorsement of such an esteemed member of the State Senate. John Moorlach is a legend in Orange County and I am proud to call him my friend” was the reaction of Mayor Tim Shaw upon hearing of his endorsement by Senator Moorlach.
Tim Shaw currently serves as Mayor of La Habra and has served on the City Council since 2008, being elected in 2008, 2012 and 2016. Mayor Shaw also serves as Vice Chairman of the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA), and as a Director on the Board of Directors for the Orange County Sanitation District (OCWD), also as a Member of the Steering Committee of the Ground Water Replenishment System (GWRS). Mayor Shaw has lived in La Habra for the past 13 years with his wife Shannon and their six sons.
Mayor Pro Tem Tim Shaw works as the Director of Government Affairs for the Pacific West Association of REALTORS, as well as being an Adjunct Professor of American Government for 12 years. Married to Shannon, Tim is the proud father of five sons. Tim also attended local public schools in the Fourth District, where he and Shannon chose to raise their family.
